Jurassic Coast Trek

25 - 27 September 2020, £295

An ideal training walk, this trek in the stunning landscape of the South West Coast Path in Dorset is a fantastic experience. On this challenging 2-day trek along the Jurassic Coast keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife such as dolphins, butterflies and sea birds, look out for ancient fossils, and enjoy the vast cliffs and blue sea along this spectacular route, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site which stretches all the way from Dorset to Devon.

Day 1 (Friday 25 Sept): Arrival
Arrive at the campsite in time to meet the group and a briefing over dinner.
Day 2 (Saturday 26 Sept): Lulworth Cove to Worth Matravers
Today we trek approx. 13 miles. Highlights include crossing the Lulworth Range, looking out for ancient fossils, and if we're lucky, even spotting a dolphin or two! A vehicle will meet us at Worth Matravers to transport us back to the campsite.
Day 3 (Sunday 27 Sept): Worth Matravers to Studland
We transfer back to where we ended yesterday's walk in Worth Matravers and continue approx. 12 miles in an easterly direction, passing stunning scenery to Swanage via Durlston Head and Old Harry Rocks before reaching Studland Bay. We transfer back to the campsite to pack up and head home.

Keeping you safe

Your health and safety is our top priority so rest assured that we are taking steps to ensure you not only have a memorable experience, but a safe one too.
We are optimistic that groups of more than 6 will be permitted to meet up by the date of departure but if this is not the case we will operate these trips by ensuring that groups are split into 'bubbles' of 6 or fewer, who will only walk with, and eat with, their own groups. The entire group will be limited to 20 people.
Social distancing will be possible at all times due to the open-air nature of these events, and the requirement for you to bring your own tent. For the trip in Wales where a bunkhouse is used, sufficient space will be maintained between bunks.
Furthermore meals will be eaten outside, vehicles will be used with the same rules as imposed for those using public transport (i.e. face masks must be worn and sufficient space between passengers must be maintained). We are also taking increased hygiene measures such as providing hand sanitiser for use before meals, when using the minibus etc.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us on info@different-travel.com.
