Bespoke Departures

Different Travel gives you the opportunity to choose what you would like to do for your own challenge. If the Open Challenges we offer are not quite right for you and your group, why not create your own trip!

We organise bespoke challenges which encompass the aims of a particular charity, company or group of individuals. For example, if you are particularly interested in volunteering in Asia, or trekking in South America, just get in touch and we can put a trip style together for you that suits your time frame, departure dates, budget and itinerary.

We have links with many projects worldwide, so we will always be able to offer you something you would be interested in.

  • If you are a group of animal lovers, we could organise a trip to the Galapagos to learn about conservation; or go to Borneo and help with reforestation to protect the orang-utan environments.
  • If you enjoy trekking and a real challenge, we could organise for you to climb Kilimanjaro, or trek through the Andes!
  • If you want to help improve the lives of young people in need of support maybe you would like to travel to Zambia or Sri Lanka to make a difference in the lives of those who need it.

The benefit of bespoke trips are that your group, your supporters, or your colleagues have the opportunity to get involved in work that you support so they feel they are doing something to actually make a difference. It helps people at home learn more about what you do, and it helps the communities abroad that you are working with.

We believe that life-enhancing travel is not about seeing a place, but experiencing a place, its people, its cultures, food and ways of life.
It is only right that when we, relatively wealthy, tourists enjoy the benefits of tourism, we should do so responsibly, by ensuring that we are not contributing to the exploitation of either people or the environment, that we are participating in 'fair trade' practices which benefit those who work so hard to make our holidays so great, that we are contributing to the sustainable economic development of the communities who host us, and that we are respectful towards and assist in the maintenance of indigenous cultures.
